Sizes and coverage
A 6 × 24 inch panel covers one square foot and a 9 × 24 XL panel one and a half, so a wall is quoted by its area alone. The 9 × 18 XL corner turns external corners and returns.
Why marble for a ledger wall
Marble breaks sharper than travertine. Where travertine splits with an open, slightly porous face in warm creams and golds, a marble strip breaks clean, with visible crystal that catches the light and stronger contrast from strip to strip. The wall reads crisper and more architectural, which is why marble is chosen for modern interiors, lobbies and walls lit from above or from the side.
Like travertine, it is natural stone all the way through. Nothing is cast or coloured, the pattern never repeats, and a chip shows more marble rather than a grey core.
The stones
Diana Royal is a Turkish marble with a warm cream to beige ground and fine veining. It is the warmest of our marbles and the one we make in the most forms: the 6 × 24 split face panel, the 9 × 18 XL corner, and the 9 × 24 XL panel in sandblasted 2D and in honed and sandblasted 3D.
Tundra Grey is a grey marble with white veining running through it. Split into strips, the veins break at a different angle on every piece, so the wall carries movement without a repeat.
Muğla White is a white marble from the Muğla region of Turkey. Its split face is bright and crystalline, a light wall that still shows the texture of the break.
White Marble is a clean white split face for walls that should read light and quiet, from bathrooms to reception areas.
Black Marble comes in the 9 × 24 XL panel. Its dark split face gives the strongest contrast in the range, against light floors, white joinery or a fireplace surround.
Split face, honed or sandblasted
Split face is the stone's own break: each strip is split on a guillotine, so the face is rough, in relief, and holds shadow. Honed is ground to a smooth, matt face that shows the colour and veining of the marble plainly. Sandblasted is a textured matt face between the two, softer to the touch than split face.
The honed and sandblasted faces come on the 9 × 24 inch XL panel, in 2D and 3D. In 2D the strips sit on one plane and the wall reads flat; in 3D they step in and out, so the wall carries relief and shadow even with a smooth face.
Where marble ledger panels work
Feature and TV walls, fireplaces and chimney breasts, hotel and office lobbies, reception desks, bathrooms and facades. Seal marble with a penetrating sealer once the adhesive has cured, especially in bathrooms, around fireplaces and outdoors, where water, soap or soot would otherwise settle in the face; a stain shows more on a white marble than on a dark one. Outdoors, use an exterior-rated adhesive, and on facades above ground level follow your local building code.
Buying marble ledger panels from us
We sell to importers, distributors and stone yards. Samples go out before an order is confirmed, the minimum order is 100 m², and one container can carry several marbles, travertines and products. Crates are strapped timber, heat-treated to ISPM 15, and we ship FOB Izmir about four weeks after order confirmation. An XL crate holds 108 panels, 15.06 m², and a 20 ft container takes 26 XL crates, 391.56 m².
Questions about marble ledger panels
Marble or travertine ledger panels outdoors?
Both are used on facades, garden walls and outdoor kitchens, so choose by the look: travertine is warmer and more open, marble sharper and more contrasted. Either way, fix it with an exterior-rated adhesive, seal it, and in frost-prone areas follow the adhesive maker's guidance for freeze-thaw.
Does marble need sealing?
Yes. We recommend a penetrating sealer once the adhesive has cured, especially in bathrooms, kitchens, around fireplaces and outdoors. It keeps water, grease and soot out of the face, and it matters most on white marble, where a stain shows.
Honed or split face marble?
Split face is the stone's rough natural break and gives the most texture and shadow. Honed is ground smooth and matt and shows the colour and veining. Sandblasted is a textured matt face between the two. Honed and sandblasted faces come on the 9 × 24 XL panel, in 2D and 3D.
Can I mix marble and travertine in one container?
Yes. One container can carry several colours and products, marble and travertine together. The minimum order is 100 m², and we confirm the crate and container figures for a mixed load with your quote.
How thick are marble ledger panels?
The 6 × 24 inch panel is about 2–3 cm thick and the 9 × 24 XL panel about 3–4 cm. Thickness varies with the split, as it does in any natural stone.
